Installing Blinds In Leichhardt – Inner West Sydney

Over the last few years timber blinds have become increasingly popular in Sydney. Many people choose to purchase their blinds online but are then faced with the issue of having to have the new blinds installed. We had a call from a client needing their timber blinds installed in their Leichhardt home. Their home was a typical inner west federation era home, constructed by double brick. This meant that the brackets that support the blinds need to be secured via plastic ‘roll plugs’ which are fitted into holes drilled into the masonry work in the window frame. This allows screws to secure the blind mounting brackets onto the brick inner window. Small jobs can be surprisingly tricky sometimes and what can seem like a simple job can actually be harder to acheive than what first meets the eye when assessing the job. After securing the brackets and fitting the blinds the pelmet covers require fixing. These are fitted in different ways, depending on the manufacturer of the blinds. In this instance a 2 cm wide strip of velcro is supplied which makes for quick and easy application.
